The Annual Physical Exam
Harbour Centre Port Terminal, Inc. (HCPTI) recently conducted its Annual Physical Examination
(APE) for its employees at the multi-purpose hall last June 28, 2011. The program was
administered by doctors and nurses from IntelliCare.
All employees were encouraged to participate in the comprehensive medical examination to
determine their health status. The program’s main objective is for the prevention of disease or
worsening of an existing illness. It also provides an opportunity for early detection of any chronic
illness and discovery of any possible risk factors that may lead to disease.
The medical tests performed during the APE include chest x-ray, urinalysis, physical examination,
complete blood count, stool examination, eye refraction, electrocardiogram and pap-smear (for
married female 35 years and above). Complete Blood Chemistry is also conducted for officers of
the company.

After the medical examination, all participants were given the medical results to reassure that
they are healthy and fit to work. Aside from that, the company physician invited all employees
with negative findings for a one on one consultation.
HCPTI does not only take care of its clients business but also gives importance to the wellness of
its human resource through the APE program plus the benefit of having the company’s medical
insurance.
