Harbour Centre collaborates with the Bureau of Fire Prevention Team
HCPTI Emergency Management and Response Team (EMRT) in cooperation with
theBureau of Fire Protection team of San Nicolas fire station, Manila conducted a fire
prevention and suppression seminar held at the HCPTI Multi-Purpose Hall last March
24, 2011.The seminar focused on the information and awareness campaign to prevent
loss of life and damage to property during fire.
Emergency drills were given to educate HCPTI employees on what to do in a simulated
emergency situation to avoid panic and to prepare its people in containing fire to
ensure safety inside the port.
Fire fighters from the bureau demonstrated the proper way of operating fire-fighting
equipment to suppress flame using a fire extinguisher and a water hose. They also gave
important tips on how to prevent such unwanted incidents to happen.
