Our History

The Harbour Centre Port Terminal, Inc. (HCPTI) project is part of the overall plan to convert the former Smokey Mountain dumpsite into a habitable project inclusive of the reclamation of the area across Radial Road 10 as its enabling component.

HCPTI, a Philippine registered corporation organized to develop, manage, and operate its port facilities, is the first integrated and modern container, bulk, and break bulk terminal in the Philippines open for domestic and foreign vessels.

HCPTI is initially involved in the development, management, and operation of the 15-hectare port property which mainly has two(2) quays totaling 1,115 meters in length.

HCPTI commenced its operations in the year 1998. Specific areas are currently on dedicated use by locators operating two(2) cement silos, one(1) liquid gas silo and its South Port, and ten(10) grain silos at its North Port.

The creation of HCPTI was made possible through a Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) Resolution dated April 21, 1995 authorizing the development and operation of a private commercial port that will serve as additional port facilities to complement the existing government facilities at the Port of Manila.
